The only thing I have to say about today’s Watson is that 1) I’m very intrigued to see how it turns out and 2) I just love that here there are people who actually are talking about it, interested, and have any sort of feelings about it. I was all excited to tell someone when I found out and share the news, and here was my experience of attempting to engage others in conversation about the topic:

Me: They cast the Watson for that other Sherlock Holmes show.

Dad: …Ah, interesting.

(silence)

Mom: Is it someone you know?

Me: Yes!

(apparent end of conversation)

(followed by dinner mostly in silence punctuated by a story about some lady my mom doesn’t like trying to negotiate not having to pay a security deposit on a condo)
